Double Oak 50th Birthday Logo Design Competition

The Double Oak 50th Birthday logo design competition is meant to be a fun and community minded activity.  All entries will be judged based on criteria presented in the competition guidelines then narrowed down to the top finalists by a panel. Double Oak residents will have a chance to vote on the final design at the 2023 July 4th picnic. The winning design will reflect what makes Double Oak special and unique, using meaningful symbolism, and minimal color and design features. Residents of any age are encouraged to submit their original designs. 

Design Competition Rules

  • The Double Oak Logo Design Competition begins March 15, 2023, and ends June 22, 2023.
  • Based on the number of entries, the Double Oak 50th Birthday committee may select an impartial panel to evaluate all submissions and select the top designs. The public will be invited to vote on the top designs on July 4, 2023, at the town picnic.
  • The winning design will be announced July 7th through the town-wide communication email.
  • By submitting your original design, you are voluntarily donating your design to the town of Double Oak for consideration. 
  • No compensation is given for any designs submitted. 
  • The winning design becomes the property of the town of Double Oak and may be modified, reproduced, and published at the town's discretion.
  • The competition is open to all Double Oak residents. 
  • All ages and levels of artistic talent are encouraged to submit a logo design. 
  • Designs should reflect what makes Double Oak special and unique using meaningful symbolism with minimal color and design elements. 
  • Designs should be suitable for use on flags, banners, T-shirts, or other items that may be printed for the 50th Birthday celebration.
  • Design must be submitted in a high-quality PNG digital file format (file size cannot exceed 8Mb). 
  • Only one submission per resident is allowed. 
  • Logo designs must be accompanied by a brief description (300 words or less) about the symbolism and inspiration of the design elements. 
  • Only designs submitted on or before 4:00PM on June 15, 2023, will be accepted.
