Veterans Day

On this special day, Friday, November 11th, let us honor and thank military veterans for their service and sacrifice. Double Oak is grateful to our veterans for protecting our nation, our freedom and our liberty. Please pause on Veterans Day to remember these great Americans.

*Double Oak Town Hall will be closed on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Annual Double Oak Women's Club Auction 

The annual Double Oak Women's Club auction benefiting the Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department is Saturday, November 12, 2022. We would love it if you have any donations to contribute to the event. You can drop them off at Town Hall on Friday, November 11, between 11am and 5pm. Remember they are tax deductible. We will also be back on Saturday as we get ready for the auction that night. Annual Double Oak Turkey Trot

Get registered now for the Double Oak Turkey Trot. Spots are filling up fast. Wake up early on Thanksgiving and bring the family out for a 5k or a one-mile fun run/walk.The organizers for this event are local and amazing people. It is always a fun time at the Double Oak Turkey Trot.

Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department News

The DOVFD is in the process of sending out their Annual Fund Drive Letter. Please see attached letter (file attachments at the bottom of the page), print it and send in your annual donation. You can also drop off your donation at town hall. Did you know the DOVFD is 100% all volunteer and is one of only two completely volunteer fire departments remaining in Denton County? Annually, the firefighters' combined training is in the thousands of hours. These heroic volunteers are your fellow neighbors who put service before self. Honestly, no one has a better hometown July 4 Parade & Picnic than Double Oak, Texas. Our residents love that the DOVFD brings Santa to town every December. And of course, these brave firefighters and our police rush to homes and businesses when we call 911. Stop by the firehouse anytime and say hi. The DOVFD greatly appreciates your continued community spirit and financial support.

Did You Know

Did you know that Double Oak is served by two Independent School Districts? Most of the town is in the Lewisville ISD. The western border of town has areas served by the Denton ISD. 

The respective ISD's high school football teams which Double Oak students attend Flower Mound Marcus and Denton Guyer square off in a playoff football game this Friday evening at C. H. Collins Stadium in Denton. Good luck to both programs.
