Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s)

An AED is a type of computerized defibrillator that automatically analyzes the heart rhythm in people who are experiencing cardiac arrest. When appropriate, it delivers an electrical shock to the heart to restore its normal rhythm

In 2007, a partnership with the town provided the first Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) for our town hall and police department.

Working together for the health and safety of Double Oak residents and our neighbors, the Double Oak Town Council, Double Oak Town Hall, Double Oak Police Department and Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department have planned and approved funds for the purchase of the newest AED’s for town hall and each Double Oak police unit will have an AED onboard. The DOVFD has AED’s on their fire engines and trucks.
