I want to thank all our Members who are complying with the Stage 3 water restrictions, helping us maintain water availability for all.

We are still seeing in the field some service locations with irrigation systems that need to be adjusted and we are continuing to educate as much as possible.

While we did initiate Stage 3 watering restrictions in the beginning of the summer partly due to two (2) wells going offline, that is not the case now.

Our water system is a mixture of ground wells and surface water purchased from Upper Trinity Regional Water District.  Upper Trinity is evaluating on a day-to-day basis the potential need to escalate to their Stage 2 restrictions - which is equivalent to our Stage 3 restrictions - due to the drought conditions that have continued to worsen throughout Texas.

Consequently, during the ongoing drought, Cross Timbers Water Supply will stay in Stage 3 restrictions until further notice is given. The staff has adjusted the Water Demand Management Plan with the hope of avoiding the need to move into Stage 4 restrictions. We have simplified the designated zone watering days, depending on the City/Town of your service address.

• Zone A (Bartonville) – MONDAY
• Zone B (Copper Canyon/Argyle/Highland Village/Flower Mound/Unincorporated Denton County) - WEDNESDAY
• Zone C (Double Oak) – FRIDAY

There is NO watering between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm, as this will allow the system the necessary time to replenish.

During the week of August 22^nd, the Membership will be given time to adjust their irrigation systems. The following week on August 29^th, enforcement of the restrictions will begin.
