Peace Officers Memorial Day

Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week is an observance in the United States that pays tribute to the local, state, and federal peace officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty. 

Today, May 15, we honor our brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on this Peace Officers Memorial Day. Flags at Town Hall will be at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.

The town of Double Oak is forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.

The Double Oak Police Department thanks the Double Oak Women’s Club and residents for the beautiful painted rock garden in the front of town hall and for all the lunch food and treats left this week for the officers.
