The Development Services Department oversees the building permits, planning, zoning, land development, and inspections functions for the Town of Double Oak. It also supports the Town Council, Planning & Zoning Commission, and the Board of Adjustment.

Double Oak does not have contractor registration, however contractors must submit a permit application, or be listed on another contractor's permit application for the project they are working on.

Building permits are required for all new construction, remodeling, changes or additions to structures which includes driveways, signs, fences, swimming pools, patio covers, electrical, mechanical work and plumbing.

The Town of Double Oak utilizes a 3rd party contractor for building inspections and permit reviews. For more information, compliments or complaints, please contact the Town Secretary.
