Double Oak Solicitor Permits (6/13/2023)

Solicitor's Permit Example Picture

Double Oak Citizens,

The town is fully aware that you are getting inundated by solicitors wanting to repair your homes from the hailstorm.  The Double Oak Police Department has warned solicitors to leave our town without proper permits.

Double Oak has a Solicitor Permit process, and we are sharing this as a courtesy for you to know.

The link to this webpage is a part of the Double Oak Police webpages:

Only engage with them if a solicitor can show you a permit and their proper ID.

If you have additional questions, please get in touch with our Double Oak Town Administration.

Thank you.

Patrick Johnson
Mayor of Double Oak

Obtaining a Permit

All door to door solicitors must undergo an employment and criminal background check before their permit can be issued.  Once the applicant passes the background check, the Double Oak Chief of Police will issue the permit. Solicitors are instructed to have their permit badges visible when going door to door in Double Oak. Using the application form below, answer all questions and submit the appropriate documentation required to Town Hall. The permit will be valid between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and sunset, Monday through Saturday, for one year from the date of issuance. For further information please see our Town Ordinances Article 4.100. It may take 1-3 business days for permits to be issued.
