Friday Communication From Town Hall (10-07-2022)
Tuesday, October 4th was National Night Out. Thank you to the amazing residents of Double Oak that were able to come out and enjoy, Double Oak Fire Department, Precinct 4 Constables, Denton County Communications Section, Town Hall Staff and our wonderful Double Oak police officers for making this year’s event the best. We had a great turnout and lots of fun.
On October 5, Denton County hosted a Fallen Firefighter Memorial at the Denton County Administrative Courthouse Amphitheater to honor the 140 firefighters nationwide who lost their lives in the past year.
The ceremony ended with the traditional "Striking of the Four Fives” signifying the loss of a firefighter in the line of duty.
Your Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department participated in the ceremony.
The Town is proud to have Eagle Scouts working on community projects. Here are a few pictures of past and present Eagle Scout projects.
The Waketon Road reconstruction project continues, the Town appreciates the residents cooperation and patience.
A friendly reminder, Town Hall will be closed on Monday October 10, 2022 for Columbus Day.
