Double Oak neighbors,

It is good to see the sun today and the forecast is for the return of warmer temperatures.

I know many are experiencing broken water pipes and severe damage to your homes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

If you are a Double Oak resident and your home does not have power, please report it to CoServ and contact me directly at 214-448-9337. The town is not aware of any power outages at this time.

Republic Services will be here on Saturday starting at 7:00am to collect trash. They will only service blue trash carts on Saturday. Please do not set out recycle, bulk or bags. They will not be serviced. Pass the word to your neighbors.

Please drive with caution as many town streets are shaded and it will take warm weather to melt the ice.

Residents should locate your main water shut off now in the event of a burst pipe. Have a tool ready to turn the shut off. Call 911 if you need the Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department to help.

Our water supplier, Cross Timbers Water Supply Corporation, continues to report their water supply is fully operational. If you are a CTWSC customer you are not under any boil water notice at this time.

The Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department and Double Oak Police Department have been busy responding to calls from residents. The DOVFD has assisted many residents with turning off their water due to burst pipes. Double Oak thanks our First Responders.

Internet service providers are aware of area service disruptions and outages. This is not just local but statewide. Providers are working to repair and replace damaged equipment in the field. Residents should contact the responsible utility or service provider directly to report outages and handle account matters.

Town Hall administration has worked remotely this week. Town Hall will open on Monday at 9:00am.

Double Oak is known as the town of volunteers. Proud to see neighbors helping neighbors.

Stay warm, safely.
