"Stay Home & Stay Informed" Reminder

03/31/2020

Double Oak residents,

We hope you are doing well. It is so wonderful to see neighbors checking on neighbors. This is what makes our small town of Double Oak so special.

Please continue to practice physical-social distancing and all recommended health practices. We need everyone’s cooperation to help protect the health of all.

This is a very serious health emergency.

"Stay At Home Order Is In Effect For Denton County"

Denton County’s disaster declaration for public health was amended Tuesday afternoon, extending the county’s stay-at-home mandate through Tuesday, April 7 at 11:59 p.m.

Drive-thru testing for COVID-19 now available in Denton County

Here are previously communicated links to stay connected and stay involved while you are staying home and practicing physical-social distancing. You can also follow these on social media:

Septic System Recommendation:

  • Septic contractors remind homeowners to only flush toilet paper. Other products will clog and damage your septic system.

Be on Alert for Scams:

  • Be on alert for scam emails, mail and phone calls that claim to provide COVID-19 test kits if you provide your personal information including your credit card number. Best practice is to never give your personal information to anyone you don’t know.

Take care neighbors,
Town of Double Oak

Sincerely,
Eileen Kennedy
Town Secretary
