May 6, 2023 General Election

The next Town General Election will be held Saturday May 6, 2023 from 7 am - 7 pm, to elect two Council members and the Mayor for two year terms.

First day to file for place on the ballot - January 18, 2023.
Deadline for filing for candidacy is February 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

Town Council Receives Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Audit

Braum’s Store in Double Oak Update

A representative for Braum’s attended the Monday, February 6, 2023 council meeting to provide the town with an update. Braum’s plans to have their Double Oak location operational in February 2024. Double Oak Police Department Welcomes New Officers

The Double Oak Police Department has some new additions to its sworn staff. The department recently filled the Detective/Sgt. position and two Officer vacancies. The DOPD has one Officer position still open.

Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department News

The DOVFD provided the town with department stats thru 2022.

The department had 234 total calls for service. 91 of the calls were fire related. Medical calls were 143. The firefighters training hours totaled 3,021 hours. The volunteer hours for the DOVFD, excluding the call and training hours, were a total of 5,581.75 hours. Wow!

Town Hall Administration

The town is fortunate to have a great team in the administration offices. Eileen, Lynn, Brian and Randall capably handle all the day to day activities and projects for the town. They work with residents, contractors and others who contact town hall daily for various reasons. https://www.doubleoak.texas.gov/administration
