December 2022 Christmas tree lighting

Hope everyone enjoyed the annual Christmas tree lighting. There was a big crowd and Christmas spirit was in the air. Everyone, especially the kids, always enjoy Santa & Mrs. Claus arriving on a DOVFD fire truck.

Thanks to all who had a hand in a wonderful traditional community Christmas tree lighting.

The town was honored to have the families of our fallen First Responders light the Christmas tree.

On behalf of the town and Double Oak Women’s Club, thank you to everyone who generously donated to the Christmas fundraiser for the three fallen police officers families. DOWC President Bonnie Morrow announced that more than $8,000 was donated to be split amongst the three officers families. One can always count on Double Oak where we do it right.

Double Oak Women’s Club News

The DOWC Children’s Winter Event is this Saturday, December 10 starting at 1:00pm. This is always a fun time for the kids.

Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department Santa Sunday

The DOVFD brings Santa to town this Sunday, December 11 starting at noon. Listen for the sirens in your neighborhood.

Double Oak Police Department

The Double Oak Police Department would like to welcome Officer Summer Housmans to the Department.

The Department has an opening in the Detective position and one patrol officer position.
